As one example, routine, private investigations work such as surveillance or person locating is charged at $80/hour. However, an extensive medical chart review starts at $150/hour. A case involving specialized medical analysis & court testimony will involve an up-front retainer of $1500. A one day, rapid-response site scanning or aerial surveillance job with a 2-man crew is $2000/hour with a minimum retainer of 2 hours.
