As one example, routine, private investigations work such as surveillance or person locating is charged at $125/hour. However, an extensive medical chart review starts at $300/hour. A case involving specialized medical analysis & court testimony will involve an up-front retainer of $3000. A one day, rapid-response site scanning or aerial surveillance job with a 2-man crew is $600/hour with a minimum retainer of 7.5 hours.
